The river trip was excellent and we enjoyed staying overnight at the lodge. Waking up at Morgan’s Rock, Nicaragua was amazing. This resort has a huge private beach and has a very secluded romantic feel to it. We got to see a sea turtle come ashore to lay eggs and were allowed to “help them” into the ocean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and I had the feeling that they would bend over backwards for me if I had asked. I would not only recommend this eco-lodge to everyone I know, but would describe it as paradise. Si Como No is another perfect spot. Everyone was friendly and the property was beautiful.

"I am writing to thank you for planning our May 2006 trip to Costa Rica. Every detail was tended to and executed without flaw. Hotel Grano de Oro in San Jose was such a unique hotel and our rooms with private patios and fountains were wonderful. Mawamba Lodge in Tortuguero was a delight, from the rain forest tours to looking for turtle nests. Si Como No in Quepos was the best. It was built into the rain forest and all the private villas melted into the landscape. We had 3 different species of monkeys next to and even on our villa roof. The activities and restaurants in Quepos and Manuel Antonio were excellent and wide ranging.
From our pickup at the airport in San Jose to the private charter plan to fly us across the country and finally back to the San Jose airport, all connections and transports were without fault. The tours on both the Caribbean coast and Pacific coast were facinating.

In a nutshell, it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. All the accommodations were as advertised. All the shuttle connections came through on time (even the 04:30 am one from Arenal to Las Horquetas). We dove, we turtled, we saw monkeys and crocodiles, we white-watered and we trekked through the rainforest with our guide cutting the way with a machete. I even got to rub the stomach of a wild male tapir at Rara Avis. The Reventazon was up and we had an excellent whitewater experience.

"I wanted to thank you for such a wonderful recommendation of the Peace Lodge. Everything was so much more than what I expected. The pictures do not do justice for how beautiful the lodge and surroundings are. Cindy was amazing! She made sure that everything was perfect. The day of the wedding, she came by the room making sure everything was great and ironed a lot of the clothes the day of. After having an amazing ceremony, we went for two hours to take photographs. Fernando was so excited and did a great job. Cindy was with us and had all of the small things to make it more comfortable - my tennis shoes, water, a towel and my make-up. She went above and beyond to make sure that we had a perfect day. I would not have imagined a more wonderful day.
The rooms were well worth the price. Everything is well put together and planned out.
The Eclipse tours were very convenient and I am glad we did not take taxis. The tour drivers were extremely nice.
Cala Luna was the perfect choice for a honeymoon. It seemed like everyone we met there was on honeymoon too. It was a relaxed environment and a lot of fun stuff to do.
Overall we had the best time and got more than we could have ever expected from the Peace Lodge. If there is anyway that we can comment about our experience anywhere please let me know.

"Ed and I just had to tell you what a fabulous time we had in Costa Rica the end of January. Our first night we stayed at the Grano de Oro in San Jose. It was a lovely inn in the middle of town, the dinner we had that evening was on the terrace, very romantic under the stars, a great way to begin our vacation. The next day we flew to Quepos and then on to Manuel Antonio by car. We stayed at the El Parador Hotel which was absolutely exquisite, the service was impeccable and the meals were sublime. Our activities included: a canopy tour, a full day of horseback riding to a gorgeous waterfall with a swimming hole at its foot, a sea kayaking tour, a day of deep sea fishing and a tour of the national park in Manuel Antonio, We would highly recommend a visit to Costa Rica, the people are so friendly and accommodating. They are more interested in learning to speak English that they are expecting you to speak Spanish, so language is not a barrier. We hope to return to Costa Rica in the near future to explore the rest of their beautiful country!
We would also like to compliment Costa Rica Experts on the great job they did in coordinating all of our tours. Every tour we went on was professionally guided and most of them were just the two of us, no big groups, very personal. We had transfers to and from everywhere, there was always a car or a van waiting for us, we never had to wait, nor did we ever have to worry that we might be stranded. "We just returned from a trip we booked with you to Tortuguero (Tortuga), Lapa Rios and Monteverde (Monteverde Lodge). It was the BEST vacation we have ever had. The arrangements you made were impeccable. I don't think we touched our luggage once for the entire trip. At every transfer we were met by incredibly friendly guides and drivers who were always prompt and courteous. They went out of their way to be helpful! On one transfer the van to Monteverde was a little late because someone they were picking up before us was delayed in checking out. They sent ANOTHER VAN so we could wait in it until ours came. I think they must have apologized twenty times! The guides were very knowledgeable about the country, its wildlife, the rainforest, ect. There wasn't a single question they couldn't answer in an intelligent way. All of the guides and hotel staff spoke flawless English. Despite the sometimes primitive roads, the vans we were transported in were very comfortable. The hotels were outstanding but, of course, Lapa Rios was the jewel. The food was amazing. Again, the staff at all of the hotels did everything to make us comfortable and welcome. Grano de Oro is a beautiful and charming hotel and the restaurant is deserving of five stars. Costa Rica is a great country and we cannot wait to return. As you know, tourism is their #1 industry and all of the people we had contact with let us know in word and deed how important we are to them. We will certainly recommend you to anybody who is planning a trip to Costa Rica. You did a fantastic job. Thanks."

"I've now had several days to reflect on our Costa Rica experience and it certainly ranks among the very bests of our trips. For this we thank you very much. The weather was great and when it rained it did so at the appropriate times (hiking though the rain forest on Cano Island, boating through the canals at Tortuguero). The Ticos were all helpful, friendly, good teachers, and all the tourists we met were wonderful people. I was really impressed with the logistics of getting around. Everything moved like clockwork. It's hard to decide what was best, but I think that when I look back I'll consider the two day raft trip down the Pacuare as the highlight followed by our stay at Aguila de Osa Inn and Corcovado National, Park.
I know that Joyce and Barbara have talked with you and extended their thanks, but I just want to also express my appreciation for your planning a wonderful trip for us. Interestingly, we meet lots of tourists whose travel agent used Costa Rica Experts. Maybe we can visit with you during out next visit to Chicago in the spring."

"I wanted to tell you we had a great two weeks in Costa Rica! All of our arrangements worked out perfectly. The transfer company was all waiting for us with a sign with our names, even in San Jose when we were two hour late (because of our flight). NatureAir was just wonderful! A couple of times they put us on a small plane and hot us on our way earlier that was originally scheduled, which was really appreciated. Our hotels were all top-notch, especially, of course Lapa Rios.
Thanks again for all your help, especially the weekend before we left.
P.S. All the other CR Expert travelers we ran into had the same glowing reports!"
