Day 1: Upon arrival in Liberia, Costa Rica you will be met and transferred about 2 hours to the Río Celeste Hideaway for overnight.  The lodge is set amongst the rainforest in an area that is adjacent to both the Tenorio Volcano National Park and the Río Celeste itself. Guests of Rio Celeste will enjoy the pleasant tranquility of natural immersion from sunup till sundown. Whether it’s having breakfast in the hotel’s open-air restaurant or taking hikes through nearby parks, the splendors of Costa Rica’s wilderness are never far away.  The restaurant itself indulges guests with fantastic cuisine blended from both national and international flavors. With soft lighting, polished hardwood floors and high arching ceilings, the setting is once elegant and tropical. A bar and lounge area adjoins the restaurant and serves up tasty cocktails and ice cold drinks. Drinks can also be enjoyed from a swim-up bar attached to the swimming pool which provides guests with an ideal place to beat the heat during the thick of the day.  Accommodations are chic and comfortable. Hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings give each of the 26 casitas a natural and expansive feel. A private backyard with an outdoor shower offers guests an intimate outdoor bathing experience, while an indoor Jacuzzi provides the perfect place to unwind after a long day on the trails. Each casita features a private hot water bathroom and air conditioning to keep things comfortable, as well as a cable TV and internet access to drive away any boredom that may arise.

Day 2:   Hiking Tenorio National Park & Rio Celeste – Hike through this humid forest ecosystem to observe various animal species and exuberant flora and fauna. Along the walk you will discover the magnificent Rio Celeste waterfall, the place where the river dyes itself that amazing light blue color and finally the hot springs. Day 3:   Safari Float Trip on the Tenorio or Corobici River – Floating for 2 hours on a raft down the Corobici or Tenorio Rivers (river depends on water levels) will introduce you to a particular ecosystem, the Dry Gallery Forest. Here you will find gigantic kapoks and fig trees, many species of animals, such as Monkeys, Birds, Iguanas, or Crocodiles on the river shores or on the tree tops. Indulge yourself with relaxing tranquility mixed with a little adventure as you go down very safe class I and II rapids. Overnight at Río Celeste Hideaway.
 
Day 4:  Today you will transfer by ground approximately 2 – 3 hours to Hotel Sueño del Mar for overnight. This is a small, intimate beachfront hacienda where you can lounge in privacy amidst the palms and tropical flowers or mingle with other guests on our shady veranda retreat.  The hotel is located minutes from Tamarindo on Playa Langosta in the province of Guanacaste.  You will fall under the spell of this Costa Rican paradise of lush tropical forests, rushing rivers, monkeys and leatherback turtles, quiet beaches, serene mountains, active volcanoes, and excellent surfing breaks.

Sueño del Mar has charming little touches and innovative design with four-poster beds made from driftwood, African dolls on the windowsills, and open-air showers with sculpted angelfish, hand-painted tiles and lush tropical plants. The property has only 4 rooms and 2 casitas, all feature postur-pedic deluxe pillow top mattresses and come equipped with A/C, fans, safes, hairdryers, private bathrooms and showers with hot water.

Day 5 – 7:   Free days to explore the white sand beaches of Tamarindo and Langosta. The beach in front of the hotel is a bit rocky, but reveals some nice tide pools at low tide, and is one of the better sunset-viewing spots in Costa Rica. Additional activities include sport fishing, biking, horseback riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, golf, tennis and sailing. Day 8:   This morning, you will transfer by ground approximately 1 hour to the international airport in Liberia for departure.
