Extravagant Costa Rica

Day 1:   Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica, you will meet with a bilingual guide and transfer by ground approximately 1 ½ - 2  hours to the El Silencio Lodge and Spa for overnight.  Hidden in Costa Rica’s central volcanic region, El Silencio is a planet-friendly sanctuary for soft adventure and inspired wellness.  Silencio, Spanish for silence, is befitting of an enchanting place where daily stress is hushed and the sounds of nature bloom.  Explore and enjoy 500 private acres of carbon-offsetting tropical cloud forest in Costa Rica’s crisp central volcanic region, surrounded by gently flowing creeks and hidden waterfalls.  El Silencio Lodge & Spa offers 16 luxury suites with river or cloud forest vistas.  Each suite features a private viewing deck and whirlpool, gas fireplace, complimentary mini-bar, and premium amenities. Day 2: Free day to relax, schedule a spa treatment or plan day excursions.  A personal Eco-Concierge will guide guests along spectacular hiking trails, through the forest and past hidden waterfalls.  Discover exuberant flora and wildlife, perhaps even the mystical quetzal bird.  Nearby activities, include horseback riding, lake kayaking, river rafting, and canopy zip-lining.  Overnight El Silencio Lodge and Spa.      

Day 3: This morning, you will meet with a bilingual guide and transfer by ground approximately 2 – 3 hours to the Arenal Volcano. Arenal is one of the world's most active volcanoes, famous for its dramatic eruptions, lava streams and incandescent rock explosions. Arrive at The Springs Resort & Spa for overnight. With a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, natural hot & cold springs 4 unique dining experiences and an impressive full service Spa. The Springs promises to overwhelm you with the highest quality of service and design. The resort perches 1000 feet above the Arenal Valley on a mountain ridge just 6 kilometers north of the active volcano! All rooms have a/c, Wi-Fi, 37 inch plasma screen TV’s, DVD player, king size bed and oversized bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The Springs is ongoing project with some construction at times (the noise level is kept to a minimum and all guests will have access to 3 restaurants, 2 bars and 12 hot spring pools).

Day 4:Free day to explore the property or surrounding area. The ground of the property offer plenty for guests to enjoy from the many pools of natural hot springs and swimming pools, to the spa, gym, souvenir shop and outdoor children’s area. Guided tours available at additional cost include hiking in Arenal National Park, Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, Arenal Hanging Bridges, canopy tour, mountain biking and horseback riding to waterfalls, rafting, waterfall rappelling, and caving. Day 5: Today, you will meet with a bilingual guide and transfer by ground approximately 5 – 6 hours to the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo, for overnight. On a slender Pacific isthmus, on the Northern Pacific Coast, fringed by gold-sand beaches, Four Seasons introduces Costa Rica’s finest luxury resort. Enjoy: Arnold Palmer-designed golf. Three infinity-edge pools. A tropically serene spa. Also explore dynamic eco adventures on land and at sea – orchestrated with famed Four Seasons perfection. 

The 153 generously sized guest rooms, suites are imaginatively crafted with indigenous woods, and stone finishes. Each room seamlessly blends indoor comfort with an outdoor terrace or balcony living area and mesmerizing views. Day 10:  Today, you will transfer to the international airport in Liberia for departure.
